On your mark, get set....SUMMER!

I'm pretty sure Memorial Day is the official start to summer for most people, and here at the Hal house it is no different.
We worked hard on our yard all Memorial weekend, finishing up just in time for an impromptu BBQ hosted by of course, by Jer's parents. Their parties are the best, they literally sweep in with a cooler full of food, they BBQ, whip, dice, slice and prepare the most delicious dinner then pack everything back into their magic cooler and tuck the leftovers away in my fridge, you gotta love it!
This year the Roos's joined us, our little nephew Max wasn't' having the best day, but even with his grumpy face he's still one cute little kid! At least the watermelon cheered him up, he ate it up like a champ!

For some reason our little twins have learned to swing like little monkeys, too cute!

It was a great start to the summer, we love our backyard and love those moments when we finally take the time to sit down and actually enjoy it!
