The Price Of A Perfect Day

Today is TOWW's birthday, and to celebrate we decided to plan something fun for the whole family. After the obligatory birthday breakfast and ooohing and aahhing over the presents, we packed up and hit the new FrontRunner commuter train that runs to SLC. It was so fun; the boys were thrilled, and loved running all over the train, I believe Peanut's exact words were "this is the best day of my WHOLE life".
Even the twins got in on the action, although their balance on a moving train is far inferior to the boys, Little Red has a giant lump on his forehead to prove as much.

We transferred at the SLC hub and took TRAX to Gateway. We had a great lunch and took the kids to see a movie....Beverly Hills Chihuahua...not my first choice but a perfect option for the kids.

We hit Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which was totally for me, but the kids did love their chocolate covered marshmallows on sticks.
We topped off the evening with an hour or so of watching the kids run through the dancing water feature, I laughed my head off as an unsuspecting Little Red got his timing off and was squirted right in the face, he looked so surprised but was such a good sport...no crying! By the time we caught the train back home (with all the rush hour commuters, I might add) the kids were walking zombies and fell happily into bed with little chocolate smiles! So recap for the day...round trip train tickets for two adults and FOUR children ages four and under $20.00, chicken fingers and fries $35.00 + tip, two hours of talking Chihuahuas $16.50, 11 pieces of the most delicious chocolate you've ever eaten $13.95, an absolutely perfect day with my family....PRICELESS!

How fun!! You're right...its funny that both of our husbands turned the SAME age on the SAME day. Fun that he was able to have a day off on his birthday!

Looks like a fun day! I can't believe how fast the twins are growing up! Even from the last pictures I saw of them- they look so much older!
